OUR FACULTY

Meet the Team

We are a team of three senior GP educators with a wealth of experience in teaching consultation skills and preparing GP registrars for the SCA exam. We are also the authors of “The Complete MRCGP Blueprint Casebook.”

Day to day, we work with GP registrars at all levels and have particular experience in working with those who are struggling with their consultation skills.

Authors of the Casebook

Emily is an experienced NHS General Practitioner and, within MedTech, Principal Safety Officer at Healthily.

Dr Helen Kirby-Blount

Helen is a General Practitioner and GP Partner in a large multi-site practice, with over a decade of experience in primary care.

Dr Liz Moulton

MBChB DRCOG MMEd (distinction) FRCGP

Liz is a consultation skills expert, SPECS educator and GP trainer with more than 30 years of  experience of teaching the consultation, and an appraiser for GPs and ROs.

OUR PHILOSOPY

Our Approach

“Common things are common… but what mustn’t I miss?” (CCMM)

At Complete MRCGP, we believe good SCA preparation goes beyond memorising structures or phrases.  Our teaching focuses on realistic consultation practice, safe clinical thinking, and helping trainees develop the confidence and judgement needed both for the exam and for real-life General Practice.

The SCA Examiners

As part of the course, trainees also have the opportunity to take part in dedicated Q&A and discussion sessions with experienced GP educators involved in consultation assessment and SCA examining.  These sessions provide valuable insight into common trainee challenges, consultation structure, safe clinical reasoning, and what candidates are being assessed on within the SCA.

After the Course

We will send you our ‘Complete Guide to the SCA Exam’ handbook and a certificate of attendance.

You can also contact us by email if you have any remaining questions and we expect to answer within 48 hours.

Delivered via Zoom to replicate the SCA exam environment, supported by a team of Professional Simulated Patients and dedicated technical support.
